Louis Glunz Sr. left Westphalia, Germany and opened a shop in the neighborhood now called Old Town. His family has run it from the same corner ever since, which makes us the oldest continuously family-owned wine shop in Chicago.

The relationships behind our shelves were built on handshakes, and many are still in place. They are why we can offer bottles that are hard to find anywhere else in the city, and price them fairly.
